Pierre Deschamps is a passionate film director, director of photography, editor and still photographer. He has won international film awards for best film, editor and cinematography. He enjoys working on documentary film, portraits and short films.
Pierre started his career in the early 1990‘s working within the French television industry as a production assistant and assistant director leaving him more than 1500 TV entertainment and game shows to his credit.
In 2000 Pierre became an independent film maker directing, filming and editing short films, commercials, corporate videos, documentaries and image campaigns in France, Denmark, Commonwealth of Dominica and United Kingdom.
Today Pierre works mainly with his own technical equipment enabling him to handle a high end and HD film production from A-Z. He shoots with the Canon 5D Mark II and Canon EF L Lenses and he edits on Final Cut Pro.
His latest film “Rugby, the LIfeblood of New Zealand” is a 52 minutes documentary film shot entirely with the 5D Mark II. The film is distributed worldwide and broadcasted  Canal+ Canal+ Sport and Canal Overseas Discovery Channel EMEA ESPN Classic UK and Ireland TV GloBo Brazil and Air New Zealand Entertainment Inflight to mention a few (100%DIstribution).
His latest short film “Nom Tèw” (Man of the Soil) has won several awards including best film (International Forest Film Festival supported by the United Nations), best editing and special motion for cinematography. It was also shown at the International Berlin film festival. The film is been selected in more than 20 international film festivals.
His 52 documentary film “Looking North for a Gastronomic Revolution” shot in the best restaurant in the world Noma and featuring the worlds best chef Réne Redzepi is selling worldwide by (Danish Broadcasting Corporation Int. Sales).
