Qatar, Denmark, England..

I just came back from Qatar in regards of a documentary that I will shoot in September. I then flew to Copenhagen just in time to make it to Noma’s party. Boat trip on Copenhagen’s channel, singing song ” Noma number one, Noma number one “… before being offered a great buffet. It was good fun with good vibzzzz around. While in Copenhagen I took the occasion to meet with the post production guy’s who will handle the post for NOMA My perfect storm, my new film. I also took the time to check out few cameras that I have in mind for the shoot. In the meantime very interesting news came up from the Cannes festival where my co-producers met with international film distributors. Things are cooking up. First shooting day- June 30th 2012 in Copenhagen.

So long

Human rights image campaign Update

Yesterday I ended the casting with the last children of the Carlton hill school for the Human rights short film that I will shoot on the 23rd nd 24th of June in Brighton. The kids were great. I have decided to include all the children from the  school cause they deserve to be part of this adventure. Some will be more present in the picture by saying some of the words during filming while others even not talking will still be present in the picture t in the classroom supporting the other ones. It is going to be a nice film with emotions. I am now going out to find a caterer sponsor to support us for the shoot.

Until then

Pierre

René Redzepi and Noma World’s 50 Best Award ceremony technical notes

I shot the pre-ceremony outside the Guildhall with a Canon C300 mounted on a Zacuto Scorpion with a 16-35mm. I both look at both the camera display and the external Zacuto EFV for focus reference. The Scorpion Rig has had an impact on many cameramen who were filming the event and many questions were asked about it. The ceremony was shot with the C300 on a tripod with a 70-200mm to get closer shot of the chef. At the end of the ceremony René Redzepi and his team go on stage to get their prize and this is shot with a 16-35mm on a 5DMark II. The live audio feed of whole ceremony was recorded separately . I look forward to complete the very exciting shoot that will take us from the end of June until next April in the while Scandinavian Region. Two versions are on the go, a 52 minutes for TV Broadcast and a 75 Minutes for theatrical release.

New Zealand Rugby Union’s Feedback about my documentary

Steve tew C.E.O of the New Zealand Rugby union sent me last night a feedback on ” Rugby the lifeblood of New Zealand ” documentary.

Pierre,

I watched your documentary for the first time last week on an Air New Zealand flight. Congratulations I think it is a very nice way of capturing the unique place that rugby holds in our country.

I particularly enjoyed Mike Clamps explanations, we went to the same school but of course he is now more French than Kiwi.

Well done and take care.

Steve

Nice feedback for Rugby the Lifeblood of New Zealand

It is always nice to get that sort of feedback form the viewers.

Hi Pierre the DVD arrived on Saturday and I showed it to my family on Saturday night. Now all my grandsons want to play rugby!  The New Zealand Rugby Union is greatly in your debt, as are lovers of the game all over the world.

Keep making films!

Sean M

Is it possible to buy a DVD of the film?
